Those who have trialled at wom*n's would have received their trial outcome. Please respond to the teams as soon as possible. Thank you again for coming to the trial, and we were impressed by all the talents we saw this year!
Our wom*n's officer Eli will send out the pairings for our mentorship program soon to help you start contacting your respective mentors. So keep an eye out for when it happens!
Hope you all are busily engaged in prep for exams, and good luck with all your assessments!
Thank you for your response so far to wom*n's trials! To clarify collectively a few questions raised so far regarding novice & pro-trials:
- Only novice debaters will be required to be trialled by debate, the pros will be trialled by CV
- For novice debaters who preference adjudicating over debating, that novice debater needs to attend the trial on Saturday and submit their CV in addition to firstname.lastname@example.org by Saturday
- only novice debaters will need to complete the sign-up form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1wJjjD64GwcQuJr7TR0oKgfZQlB_fE_TC1FXDMlYTCwY/viewform?edit_requested=true
- For pros who are trialling by CV, please include answers to the following two questions when you submit your CV:
(1) Is there someone you would like to be on a Wom*n's Team with? (no guarantees)
(2) Would you like to opt out of the official accommodation at Wom*n's (Pacific Suites on Northbourne Avenue)?
All submissions and sign-ups close by Wednesday 16 August (tomorrow!), so make sure to get onto it! For further information, please contact Penelope Han on Facebook.
The long-awaited Wom*n's Trial is happening this weekend!
